Global Sources’ (NASDAQ: GSOL) 2015 autumn tradeshow series will kick off at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong on October 11, 2015. The shows will be staged in different phases with 4,500 exhibitors showcasing the hottest products in around 8,000 booths. President of Global Sources Electronics Group, Tommy Wong, said: “I am extremely proud that this fall marks our 10th anniversary of hosting tradeshows in Hong Kong and these are the largest ever events since debuting in Hong Kong in 2006.” Global Sources Electronics is expected to be the world’s largest electronics sourcing tradeshow. The first phase will run from October11 to 14 and focus on home, office and auto electronics, security products and electronic components. The second phase, Mobile Electronics, will be held from October 18 to 21 and is expected to showcase more than 2,300 booths with the latest smartphones, tablets, wearables, accessories and drones. The Gifts & Home show will take place from October 18 to 21 and will be held concurrently with Mobile Electronics, providing expanded sourcing options for visiting buyers. Asia’s leading, one-stop fashion sourcing shows to cover accessories, apparel and fabrics will be held from October 27 to 30. New this October is the Young Designers Corner to showcase designs, with fashion parades by emerging and talented designers from Korea and top fashion schools in Hong Kong. The Fashion Technology Corner will demonstrate the latest trends in fashion technology such as 3D printing applications in apparel and footwear, while the ASEAN Select Showcase will feature apparel from emerging garment hubs, including Myanmar and Vietnam. The autumn shows are expected to attract tens of thousands of buyers. (ch)
