With work being coordinated to allow ongoing trade fair operations, a total of five large new halls will replace today’s small-scale buildings in the northern area of the site of Messe Essen in Germany. Halls 9 and 9.1 will be affected during the first construction phase, which means the two-storey building from the 1970s will no longer be available for Equitana 2017. "Plans call for construction measures to be synchronised in a way that minimises the impact on ongoing trade fair operations," says Oliver P. Kuhrt, managing director of Messe Essen. In total, over 90% of the gross area occupied in the past will be available for Equitana 2017. ank
