Asian Attractions Expo 2016 will be held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre from June 13 to16. In 2015, the show attracted an estimated 8,500 total participants, breaking records for the size of the tradeshow floor and number of exhibitors. It is organised by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA).

UBM Tech’s 4G World conference programming will be incorporated into other business technology media sites including Information Week and events including Tower & Small Cell Summit from September 9 to 11, 2015 co-located with CTIA’s Super Mobility Week, North America’s largest forum for mobile innovation and the most influential mobile marketplace. Tower & Small Cell Summit is the largest event devoted to the needs of cell-site professionals. Produced by UBM Tech at CTIA’s Super Mobility Week, this conference and expo will bring together the industry’s most innovative leaders to discuss the hottest trends and technologies impacting wireless infrastructure at Sands Expo Center, Las Vegas.

Hungarian literature in the spotlight, special focus on freedom of speech and Icelandic literature – these are the main features of this year’s Book Fair seminar programme which encompasses 388 programme points with 780 writers and lecturers from 31 countries. Göteborg Book Fair, which runs from September 24 to 27, 2015, is the largest annual cultural event in Scandinavia and takes place at Svenska Mässan, Göteborg.

Following the success of the 2014, the Telegraph Cruise Show, Liverpool, will be back, bigger, better and with a new dedicated travel section. Returning to the city at the newly opened Exhibition Centre Liverpool from October 17 to 18, 2015, the event will bring together the world’s biggest cruise lines, best destinations and leading Telegraph Travel experts all under one roof.

MIPTV and MIPCOM organiser Reed MIDEM has announced that it will expand the second edition of MIPCancun, the Latam TV meetings summit for buyers and distributors. In addition to the 1-to-1 sales meetings and networking opportunities, the 2015 event will incorporate new seminar panels and screenings, creating a unique learning experience for producers and broadcasters from throughout Latin America and the Caribbean. MIPCancun will take place from November 18 to 20 in Cancun, Mexico.

With technological advancement in China becoming increasingly sophisticated, the packaging machinery industry, a key industry in China as well as the rest of the globe, has become one of the fastest growing industries of the country. The 23rd China International Exhibition on Packaging Machinery & Materials (Sino-Pack 2016), organised by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd., is once again gearing up to offer the global marketplace a sourcing and communication platform. The show takes place at Area B, China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China, from March 2 to 4, 2016. It has increased its exhibition area to over 46,000 m², housing more than 600 exhibitors from over 20 countries and regions, and is expecting more than 40,000 visitors to attend.

The Meetings Show is set to achieve growth across all parts of the show when it opens its doors for the third time. Hosted buyers are up 20% to 868 and more than 11,000 pre-booked appointments are expected to take place. The size (floor space) of the show has increased by more than 10% and more than 600 exhibiting organisations will be in attendance. Visitors can still register to attend the 2015 show, taking place from July 7 to 9, 2015 at Olympia London. Organised by Centaur Live, The Meetings Show is the premier event for the UK inbound and outbound meetings industry.

Mack Brooks Exhibitions’ next Infrarail will take place from April 12 to 14, 2106 in ExCeL London against a background of vast investment in the UK’s mainline and suburban rail infrastructure. Thanks to important long-term projects such as Crossrail, Thameslink, Northern Line, HS2 and electrification, the fair has chosen the right place and the right time to bring together the industry. Over 150 product categories will be represented at the fair. The show is co-located with CITE, the Civil Infrastructure & Technology Exhibition.

20 million visitors are expected to attend the World Fair in Milan from May 1 to October 31. 145 countries are exhibiting to them under the Expo’s theme, Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. The subject could not be more appropriate for the two cooperation partners, Bologna Fiere, organiser of the Expo’s biodiversity park, bio fair Sana and the international cosmetics fair Cosmoprof, and Nürnbergmesse, organiser of Biofach and Vivaness. The two will be therefore be joining forces to present Organic Week from September 3 to 5 in the biodiversity. The cooperation between Bologna Fiere and Nürnbergmesse and the resulting Organic Week emerged from the collaboration of both trade fair companies at the European Major Exhibition Centres Association (EMECA)

Messe Frankfurt is developing a new future market for the clothing industry: It is teaming up with WTiN (World Textile Information Network) to launch a new platform for digital printing techniques called Avanprint. Avanprint will take place for the first time from February 15 to 18, 2016, coinciding with the international trade fairs Texworld and Apparel Sourcing in Paris Le Bourget. Subsequently, the new exhibition concept will continue once a year during the winter editions of the fabric fairs in Paris. Recently, the two cooperation partners signed an agreement to develop the new topic in the clothing fabric and garment industry worldwide. Textile printing machines, printing dyes, software and services – Avanprint will, in future, be presenting the latest developments in digital textile printing.

Fruit Attraction will again make Foro Innova available to exhibitors. This is a tool that allows exhibitors to maximise their participation in the upcoming fair, which will take place from October 28 to 30, 2015 at Feria de Madrid. This initiative is offered to give greater visibility and recognition to the R+D+i efforts of participating companies. The fair will thus become a space for exhibiting companies to discuss, offer presentations and technical seminars related to their latest innovations in products and solutions for the fruit and vegetable sector while the exhibition is being held. Organiser Ifema will provide interested companies with this space, which has capacity for around 40 people and will contribute to giving the greatest dissemination and promotion possible to each event.

In 2015, SIMEI will, for the first time, place a very special focus on craft beer. The trade public will have an opportunity to participate in an intensive programme that takes a close look at the brewing business. This will include tastings in the SIMEI Sensory Bar, which, besides wine and oil, will now also be offering craft beer. In the Italian economy, craft beer currently holds a 4% share of the overall beverage market, but with a capacity for growth of between 10% and 20%. So the tradeshow organiser Unione Italiana Vini has decided to turn its attention to beer. SIMEI takes place from November 3 to 6, 2015 on the Fiera Milano (Rho) fair grounds.

JEC Asia the premier event for Asia composites industry will hold its 8th annual session at the Suntec Center in Singapore from October 20 to 22, 2015. “Today, Asia represents almost 50% of the global composites market in value. Asia has emerged as a prime driver of growth for the composites industry and will further consolidate its leadership”, says Frédérique Mutel, JEC Group President and CEO. During three days, delegations from all over Asia such as South Korea, Japan, Thailand, China or Malaysia will meet in Singapore. They will also meet attendees and exhibitors from Europe, America and the Middle East, as more than 49 countries are represented (75% from Asia/Pacific). As one of the main players in the global production of composites, China has been designated Country Guest Of Honor for JEC Asia 2015.

The International Drone Expo (IDE), previously LA Drone Expo, is the largest global commercial drone community gathering open to the public with 125 exhibitors and more than 6500 buyers. IDE 2015 will be held from December 11 to 12, 2015 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The two-day event is expected to draw 10,000 attendees. IDE was created by the Unmanned Autonomous Vehicle Systems Association (UAVSA), the only worldwide drone association focused solely on the commercial prosumer, operator, pilot, innovator, entrepreneur, company and community. This year, the UAVSA is partnering with EJ Krause & Associates, to produce the event.
