Berlin (akm) - More than 3 billion euros worth of orders were generated at this year’s Ifa from September 4 to 9, 2009 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, surpassing the record set in 2008. Thus consolidating its position as the world’s leading trade fair for the consumer electronics sector. Also, attendance by trade visitors increased to 119,000 (+ 14 %), about 20 % of them came from abroad. A total of some 228,600 visitors (+ 8 %) came to Berlin to find out about the latest products making their debut. 1,164 exhibitors occupied 121,000 sqm.
