The United Kingdom is Europe’s IT hot spot and the 2014 partner country of CeBIT Germany, the most important event for the digital economy. According to the sector association Bitkom, the United Kingdom and Germany are the two hubs of Europe’s ICT market. Together, the two countries turn over € 265 billion, which is almost one tenth of the total world market. At CeBIT 2014, around 150 companies from the UK are expected, three times more than in 2013. The partner country is making its appearance under the motto “Technology is GREAT Britain”.
