07.04.2009 - Imex goes greener

Frankfurt (akm) - Imex 2009 continues to assert its concern about environmental issues with green initiatives for the trade show taking place from May 26 to 28 in Frankfurt. The fair’s first independent environmental audit conducted by The Carbon Consultancy found that per delegate carbon emissions output was reduced by 6.3 % last year, despite an increase in delegate numbers. In 2009, Imex will introduce badge lanyards made from plant silk - an organic product made from waste grain fibres. Other green practices include biodiesel courtesy buses, reuse of surplus food through local farms and the use of sustainably-sourced materials for bags and printed items.
