SYMA invests in Hungary
A new era dawned for all event organisers in Hungary. In response to increasing demand the 5,000 m2 SYMA Event Hall built six years ago in Budapest has been enlarged with the addition of two halls bringing total net exhibition space up to 15,000 m2. That is 30,000 m2 gross.
SYMA Hungary is raising the benchmark with inauguration of the sports and event centre. The variable hall concept provides enormous flexibility, enabling exhibitions and trade fairs to be staged in parallel, as well as concerts, meetings, conferences and sporting events.
The grand opening last September was attended by a lot of prominent figures. And an absolute must on the programme was formal presentation of the keys to the facility by the SYMA holding company. Afterwards Hall B formed the festive setting for a gala dinner for the 600 invited guests.Bookings for this year and next have been brisk, with a shoe and leather goods fair, a giftware fair and the Dental World exhibition already taking place in October. In addition to concerts and pop festivals in November, a boat and caravan show will be held in December and the Christmas Fair from December 8 to 23. A New Year's Concert will herald in 2007, followed by handball and fencing events. Then in February the halls will be used for a construction tradeshow and an event for low-priced shoes and dresses.
