The change of date at such short notice also came as a surprise to Deutsche Messe AG.
The trade fairs Metal Working China, Factory Automation Asia, Interkama Asia und Energy Asia are now taking place from November 1 to 5 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Originally they were to have been staged jointly from October 10 to 13 with the shows CeMAT ASIA und PTC ASIA, which are staying in their established time slot. The reason for the time switch? The authorities altered the licensing conditions for tradeshows at short notice but failed to inform foreign organisers. In a letter to all exhibitors at the postponed events Deutsche Messe AG, Hanover, has explained the circumstances.
The four trade fairs are now taking place under the roof of the China International Industrial Fair (CIIF), where they will put up around one-third of the total presentation. Deutsche Messe AG views this cooperation as "a significant enhancement of the CIIF in terms of its technical competence".
