Showing foresight

Dynamics and originality:
Totems won an iF communication design award 2006 for the concept of the Bertrandt trade stand at IAA 2005 in Frankfurt.

Bertrandt AG is an engineering partner for car manufacturers. Its products are top secret. The purpose of the International Motorshow is to intensify, promote and enlarge communication between top decision-makers. The Stuttgart agency Totems Communication & Architecture came up with an idea to achieve that: To show foresight with development, dynamics and originality.
Selected communication contents were put into context and explained on central exhibit tracks, called time tracks. On these tracks, the visitor was made aware of topics of the future. The exhibits on the time tracks told stories. This performance teased and enticed visitors to seek further information about the contents in a personal discussion.
The spatial perception was comfortable, useful and refreshing. The space was formed by the harmonious interaction of transparent materials, colours and light. This resulted in an open overall spatial structure, offering space to retreat to for discussions in confidence - without confining booths.
