RTL II's "private party"

German private television company RTL II invited advertising customers and media agencies into its "home" for a preview of the programs it will be showing in 2006. Guests were given the chance to get to know the "private side" of the TV station in four private houses dotted round Germany, with a chance to talk to top decision-makers, key players, and prominent figures on a personal level. Five program segments presented their program highlights for the coming year in a room individually designed to the format and fully equipped. So, for example, the series production team's room was decked out as a teenager's bedroom, an RTL II Lounge was set up in the central area. Some formats were presented independently of a room theme. The TV cooks presented a "live cooking show", and "Bollywood" was staged in the garden. Swings decorated with flowers, pond and pool illuminated with floating candles and lotus flowers provided the right atmosphere. To suit the situation there was also a touch-of-India lounge area, swing hammocks and hookahs. Henna tattoos were applied in a live demonstration.
