Access opens the way to Austria's meetings world

The congress and incentive industry summit takes place in October at the Hofburg Congress Centre Vienna. The emphasis at "access 2006" and the access academy is on the transfer of knowledge and brand management.

For three years the major suppliers and buyers in the Austrian congress and event industry have gathered at "access". Some 1,300 professional attendees and 200 Austrian exhibitors from all spheres of the Austrian meetings industry will meet on October 2 and 3 to network and compare notes. Once again the austrian business and convention network (abcn) will send around 300 hosted buyers from 16 countries. Business partners from Croatia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and the Czech Republic will attend the event in Vienna's Hofburg for the first time.
For the initiators of this show - the abcn, the Austrian National Tourist Board, the ACB - Austrian Convention Bureau, Austrian Airlines, Round Table Konferenz Hotels Austria (RTK) and the Vienna Convention Bureau - access 2006 is directional. "In a successful meetings year it is important to generate fresh impetus for the future, to foster communication and knowledge transfer and to reaffirm the industry's vigour."
Networking and communication in particular will form the nucleus of the access academy, which is devoted to the topic "Marketing through Brands". Keynote speaker at the access academy is Erhard Busek, President of the IDM Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe, who will provide important insights into "East and Southeast Europe - Market opportunities and risks". The academy will be rounded off by the panel of experts "Public relations for the successful positioning of an event as a brand" and an expert panel on "Successful Congresses".
