New jewel in the crown

CMP Asia's Japanese subsidiary, CMP Japan, recently took over the Japan Jewellery Fair (JJF) from the Japan Jewellery Association (JJA). Each year this event numbers some 160 exhibitors and 11,000 visitors. Tokyo Big Sight has been home to the JJF since 1997. CMP already organises what it claims to be the biggest jewellery fair in Asia, the Hong Kong Jewellery and Watch Fair, and publishes the jewellery magazine "Four Seasons of Jewellery". The JJF therefore fits perfectly into its portfolio, Peter Sutton, president and CEO of CMP Asia, says. Japan is the second biggest jewellery and gem market after the United States.
