EXPO XXI to open its doors in New Delhi

The new-build Expo XXI India International Expocentre in Greater Noida, New Delhi, India is opening for business in a few months, bringing "additional exhibition space to the capital at last", India International Expo XXI Pvt. Ltd. announces. Fully air-conditioned and fitted out with lots of technical extras, the halls can be retooled and used for conferences and other events as well as trade fairs. The complex is easy to reach from the centre of town and provides parking facilities for around 8,000 cars and 200 trucks.
Although not officially set to go onstream until October 2005, the new halls have already housed the international construction fair ICON and the International Interior Design and Furnishings Exhibition, III Interiors International India, which closed on April 28. The two shows are organised jointly by dmg world media und IEM India Exhibition Management, a subsidiary of Expomedia, London.
Management of the Expo XXI International Expocentre is also being placed in the hands of the Expomedia Group in January 2006 as part of its existing chain of venues, under a licensing agreement with India International Expo XXI Pvt. Ltd. and India Exposition Mart Ltd. Expomedia already operates other centres in Warsaw, Cologne, Amsterdam and Belgrade.
A standard online reservation system for all tradeshow and exhibition complexes benefits customers through greater transparency during the booking transaction and a more clear-cut pricing policy in many different countries, Expomedia says.
