In expectation of the growth predicted for the next six years in India’s maritime industry, Informa Exhibitions, organiser of Inmex India, and Hamburg Messe und Congress, organiser of SMM India, have formed a strategic partnership. They will stage the largest maritime exhibition-cum-conference in South East Asia. Inmex SMM India will take place from September 23 to 25, 2015 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre and offer the maritime industry the best of both trade fairs on a single platform. The first joint trade fair will be accompanied by a conference and an international B2B purchaser programme. The conference will cover current and future trends in the industry. At the trade fair, exhibitors will present latest achievements in maritime technology. Inmex India, first held in 1999, has become established as the region’s most important trade fair for the Indian maritime industry. In 2013, more than 500 exhibitors from 40 countries and more than 6,000 trade visitors and delegates attended. SMM India, a subsidiary of the world lead maritime fair SMM of Hamburg Messe and Congress, is an established meeting place for the subcontinent’s maritime community. (ank)
