28.08.2012 - Metropolitan Solutions goes it alone
Coinciding with Hanover Fair from April 8 to 12, 2013, Metropolitan Solutions will launch in Hanover as a separate fair. In just two years it has evolved from a special exhibition at Hanover Fair to a show in its own right. Metropolitan Solutions was first staged in 2011 as a platform for applications and solutions for urban infrastructures and megacities. This year 70 exhibitors went on display on just under 3,000m². Organiser Deutsche Messe’s new blueprint sets out to enable visitors to experience the fair as a “city of the future” while at the same time broadening its theme spectrum. The existing categories energy infrastructure, water/waste water, mobility and logistics, building infrastructure, urban safety and security, and waste management will be complemented by new themes. These comprise urban management, urban information systems and street furniture, urban financing solutions, green buildings/green cities, climate impact management, and hydraulic engineering.
