Utrecht (akm) - Green alternative: Since August 2010, the venue Jaarbeurs Utrecht has two on-site charging points where visitors can charge their electric vehicles. The public charge spots for electric transport, called NRGSPOTs, use eco-electricity and the ‘OV-Chipkaart’ (smart card) as a payment and identification system. By installing these charging points, Jaarbeurs Utrecht, in partnership with energy company Eneco, Rotterdam, intends to promote the use of sustainable, electric forms of transport and thus offer an extra service to visitors of trade fairs and events.
